St. Ignatius Parish offers different types of opportunities for ongoing adult faith enrichment.
Becoming Catholic | RCIA
RCIA – The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – is the ancient process whereby adults come to enter the Catholic Church. It is a spiritual journey involving prayer, study and fellowship. The goal of RCIA is to learn more about the Catholic faith, to deepen one’s love for God, and to walk more closely as a disciple of Jesus. Visit our RCIA Page below:
Thursday Bible Study
Please join us for our seasonal Bible Study series! NO RSVP OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Drop-ins welcome!
Each summer, spring, and fall we’ll gather for six hybrid (online and in-person) bi-weekly sessions to discuss a full-length book or a combination of short books.
What do we discuss? Whatever we feel called to! It’s important for Bible Study sessions to have underlying themes and structures, in our case heavily built around historical-critical and literary analysis; theological and moral hermeneutics and other models of exegesis; and broad thinking about compassion, inclusivity, Catholic social justice, and current events.
We also reserve space for personal reflection, application, and prayer as needed each week.
Our fall and spring study series on the Gospel of John begins on September 21, 2023. We meet on Thursdays, in Brady Hall and on Zoom. Optional social time (with tea, coffee, and snacks) begins at 6:30 p.m., with discussion between 6:45-800 p.m.
