Visit csjohn.org

We live a life of constant prayer, living in community with our brothers and ministering to those around us. Our apostolates in Denver focus on retreats, families, leadership and young people.

Who we are

Community Life

We live in close-knit communities, centered around prayer and mutual support.

The Habit

We wear the traditional Cistercian work habit, signifying our commitment to poverty and simplicity.

Prayer

We spend hours in prayer each day, including Eucharistic adoration and the Liturgy of the Hours.

Teaching

A desire to know the truth in all its fullness is an essential component of our personal and communal life.

The Beauty of Liturgy & Prayer

The Divine Office

We pray the Psalms and other prayers throughout the day, guided by the rhythm of the Liturgical seasons.

The Rosary

Our Lady’s prayer is a daily staple. Through reflecting on the life of Christ, she helps us to grow in holiness and love.

Adoration & Benediction

We spend time before the Eucharistic Lord, contemplating his face and receiving his grace. Jesus is our life and our strength!

Prayer & Community

Our life of prayer is centered around the Eucharistic sacrifice, which gives us the strength to serve others and bring Christ into their lives.
